What are Warm Data Teen Sessions?

Every Saturday teenagers from different countries around the world are meeting online to share stories on what they are noticing in their lives. They are hosted by Warm Data session hosts Maia (14), Lulu (15) and Connie (15) in a deceptively simple process that was developed by Nora Bateson as part of People Need People. The group was initiated during Lockdown 2020 by young people in the UK, Australia, Switzerland and Tanzania. The group welcomes more young people to join aged between 13-18 years old.We talk together in small break out groups exploring questions like “What is essential?”, “What is being revealed?” and share stories through the contexts of Culture, Technology, Politics, Nature, Work and more, with no agenda and no outcomes needed. Through the conversations, we learn together what brings vitality, and explore what is essential to us during these uncertain times.Through this simple process of conversation and listening we enrich our thinking, learning, ideas, and actions in the world through opening to multiple perspectives.Through Summer 2020 we are only doing sessions online, but when it is possible we can resume in-person group sessions.

Why we value these meetings...
